Francia, 1942. A Gilles príndenlu soldaos de les SS xunto con otros xudíos y lu unvíen a un campu de concentración n'Alemaña. Ellí consigue evitar la execución al xurar a los guardies que nun ye xudíu, sinón persa.

Gracies a esta engañifa, Gilles consigue caltenese con vida, pero tendrá qu'enseñar un idioma que nun conoz al oficial del campu. Al tiempu qu'una gran amistad crez ente ellos, les sospeches de los soldaos nun tardarán n'apaecer.
