A los cinco años apuntóse a la Escuela Especial de Música Gnessin en Moscú, onde la so maestra principal foi Tatiana Zelikman. Cuando cumplió dieciocho años, matriculóse nel Conservatoriu Tchaikovsky de Moscú, como alumnu del llexendariu maestro Lev Naumov, y ye graduáu d'esa institución.

El rusu ta especialmente interesáu na música de los periodos clásicu y románticu.
