Una película en la que se dan la mano tradición y modernidad, en la que la vida de una familia nómada se enfrenta al ciclo de la vida en un drama de majestuosos paisajes que empiezan a verse acosados, como la tradicional vida de la familia protagonista, por el avance de la ciudad y su voracidad. Las historias cargadas de simbolismo mitológico que los ancianos de la familia cuentan para deleite de su nieta parecen ser el último vestigio de una cultura en trance de desaparición.
