Esta exposición presenta la vida de los asturianos y su evolución en los dos últimos siglos a través del espacio más relevante de la casa: la cocina. Un espacio esencialmente femenino, en el que transcurría gran parte de la vida doméstica. Es por ello que la cocina y el ajuar doméstico cuentan muchas cosas acerca de los asturianos: su actividad económica, sus gustos e intereses, sus cambios en la alimentación, sus diferencias sociales y su modo de afrontar la vida.
