Tras el éxito de su anterior gira por todo el país, Rodrigo Cuevas, el artista más inclasificable del momento presenta su nuevo espectáculo: 'Trópico de Covadonga'.


Agitación folclórica y electrónica; divismo de campo y humor; erotismo elegante; hedonismo y celebración de los derechos innegociables; hermosas coreografías contemporáneas; una puesta en escena que aúna elementos vintage, junto con vídeo proyecciones y un vestuario que, una vez más, no dejará a nadie indiferente, se conjugan en una fórmula que a todo el mundo le gustaría clonar pero que nadie, excepto él, sabe cómo.


'Trópico de Covadonga' es el tercer espectáculo escénico en solitario de Rodrigo Cuevas después de 'Electrocuplé' y 'El Mundo por Montera'. Con este último ha recorrido infinidad de escenarios por España lo mismo que fuera de ella (Lima, Londres, Roma, Frankfurt...), con más de cien actuaciones repartidas por algunos de los mejores festivales (de teatro, de música, de poesía, etcétera) así como en teatros y auditorios de las ciudades españolas más importantes.


'Trópico de Covadonga' es el paralelo que pasa por Cuadonga/Covadonga, un trópico inventado que atraviesa Asturias pero que da la vuelta al mundo. Esa es la perspectiva que Cuevas elige para mirar desde un punto alejado de etnocentrismos. Por eso en el espectáculo se vindica a un buen número de personas del mundo rural y también urbano: un paisanaje que le hace mirar al pasado de una forma romántica e idealizada. Porque la transmisión oral no solo supone compartir conocimientos y arte, también valores; los valores de una comunidad.
