El XXII Festival Internacional de Bandes de Gaites Villa de Xixón cierra el Día d'Asturies en Xixón y abre la Semana Grande. En esta edición participan, además de la formación anfitriona, Agarimo de Catabois (Galicia), Sons de la Cossetània (Cataluña) y Cambridgeshire Caledonian Pipe Band (Inglaterra).

Estas actuaciones ponen fin también a un programa que va a comenzar el miércoles 3 de agosto con varias actividades por la villa.
