Presenta una selección significativa del contexto arqueológico del siglo VIII en la Península Ibérica y el entorno europeo, compuesto por armamento, monedas, elementos de indumentaria o cerámicas de uso cotidiano. La exposición se complementa con paneles informativos y audiovisuales que permitan al visitante desentrañar las claves en torno a la batalla de Cuadonga/Covadonga.
