Lucio es profesor en la carrera de Letras de la prestigiosa Universidad de Buenos Aires. La vida académica, sin embargo, ya no lo motiva: quiere llevar su conocimiento donde pueda marcar la diferencia, como enseñar literatura en un barrio de la periferia de una zona marginal del conurbano bonaerense.
