Maria Fernanda Fernández va disertar sobre'l significáu patrimonial del Pobláu Mineru de Bustiello. Llevantáu ente 1890 y 1925 el pobláu ye l'exemplu de la política empresarial y social de la Sociedad Hullera Española. Esta empresa, perteneciente al grupu industrial del Marqués de Comillas, ponía en práctica una política basada nel paternalismu industrial, modelu que puede reparase claramente nel planteamientu y estética del conxuntu d'edificaciones: ilesia, monumentu, casino, escuela, sanatoriu y agospiamientos pa inxenieros y obreros.
