Dempués de montar Sótano, de Benet i Jornet, la mio primer esperiencia como director, punxime a buscar testos pa volver dirixir. El procesu de busca ye pa mi unu de los momentos fundamentales de la creación. Como actor, siempres intenté, na midida de les mios posibilidaes, faer aquello no que creía, testos que provocaren en mi un aprovecimientu, que me fixeren entrugues, que supunxeren un retu. El teatru ye una forma de ganame la vida, pero ye sobremanera una forma de ver la vida. Si como actor ye una pilastra fundamental esa identificación, como director ye absolutamente vertebral. Nun podría dirixir nada que nun me provoque la sensación de desafíu”.
