Antonio Orejudo nació en Madrid en 1963. Doctor en Filología Hispánica, fue profesor de literatura española en diferentes universidades de Estados Unidos e investigador invitado en la Universidad de Ámsterdam. En la actualidad es profesor titular en la Universidad de Almería y crítico literario en diversos medios, además de columnista de prensa. Es autor de las novelas: Fabulosas narraciones por historias (1996), Ventajas de viajar en tren (2000), Reconstrucción (2005), Un momento de descanso (2010) y Los Cinco y yo (2017). Todas ellas, muy distintas entre sí, componen el corpus coherente de uno de los narradores más brillantes en lengua española.
