Esta cinta polaca dirigida por Olga Chajdas se centra en Nina, una profesora en sus treinta y tantos, que ante las dificultades para tener hijos busca ayuda en la gestación subrograda. Parece que junto a su marido han conseguido encontrar a la candidata ideal. Con 25 años Magda es feliz, disfruta la vida y no tiene ningún compromiso. Sin embargo, Nina se enamora de Magda convirtiendo el film en una historia sobre el amor inesperado, sobre la habilidad de rellenar el vacío y sobre las decisiones difíciles. Es una historia sobre el sentimiento impulsivo que rompe las barreras tradicionales.
