Rinaldo, la primera ópera inglesa de Händel, fue un gran éxito desde su estreno en el Queen`s Theater de Londres en 1711. La historia de amor de los protagonistas, Almirena y Rinaldo se desarrolla en Tierra Santa, durante las cruzadas. Händel fiel a los artificios del teatro barroco nos sumerge en un mundo fantástico gobernado por la maga Armida.

Esta obra, auténtica cumbre de la ópera barroca, tiene dos de las arias más célebres del compositor Cara sposa y Lascia ch´io pianga.

Un estreno en el Teatro Campoamor de un título fundamental del genio alemán.
