Un hombre que ronda los sesenta años emplea el tiempo que le resta por vivir en realizar algunas tareas pendientes. El protagonista se toma con mucha filosofía el final de sus días y, sin ningún dramatismo, quiere dejar encarrilados ciertos aspectos de su vida para cuando ya no esté.

Además, tiene un último deseo que cumplir. Este buen hombre quiere celebrar un banquete fúnebre en vida, algo que no gusta a todo el mundo.

Serena y humana, esta historia se presenta como una sencilla fábula que cuestiona con honestidad ciertos aspectos sociales.
